Overview

This home office for the 2023 San Francisco Decorator Showcase redefines the modern workspace as a seamless blend of functionality and style. The aim was to craft a room that transcends utility, creating a space that feels bold yet classic, sexy yet inviting, and commanding yet approachable. It’s a room equally suited for high-level virtual meetings, intimate evening cocktails, or casual family game nights on the floor.

The design drew inspiration from the home’s architectural elements, the historic charm of San Francisco’s Seacliff neighborhood, and stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge. Anchored by the bespoke desk as centerpiece, stunning Breccia Capraia marble makes the desk’s rounded base constructed from thin, mitered strips polished to appear as one seamless piece. A solid oak top, asymmetrically positioned, completes the engineering marvel, embodying LMID’s motto: “where the impossible becomes possible.”
