This home marks the second deeply personal collaboration between Lizette Marie Interior Design and a beloved client—a family whose lifestyle, values, and evolving journey are woven into every inch of the space. Having previously designed their “first fancy adult home” in Willow Glen, LMID helped them find this hillside property with sweeping views. Recently remodeled, the house needed a comprehensive facelift, which included reimagining all bathrooms, the kitchen, flooring, railings, and full furnishings.

Designed for family life without sacrificing quality, philanthropic entertaining, and creative pursuits, the home features custom elements that reflect the couple’s passions—she, a principled force for good, actively fundraising and driving change; he, a maker with a multitude of interests. Standout details include a brass-accented shaker-style kitchen, wallpaper-lined glass cabinetry, and a backlit Indonesian Suar wood bar crafted from the family’s former dining table. The man-cave includes a commercial-grade test kitchen with a custom light fixture, designed by Lizette, made of copper piping and motorcycle headlamps light fixture—capturing the home’s inventive spirit. With bold patterns, local art, and layered storytelling, this home is a celebration of craft, family, and personality.
